Overview: We utilize proprietary netflow tools on all of our locations to proactively monitor our customer connectivity.
Chicago: Transit services at our Chicago IL presence are provided by AT&T and ServerCentral. Server Central continues to maintain the most heavily connected infrastructure in the greater Chicago metroplex. Also; Our network is enlisted on the the Chicago Equinix Peering Exchange to directly connect us to numerous eyeball networks, to avoid the use of Tier1 transit. 75 percent of our traffic is routed directly to you, the end user, and the other 25 percent of traffic travels through our assorted primary upstream transit providers; Level3, Savvis and AT&T.
New York: Being the most popular non-central hosting location in the industry, having a stable, yet high performance NYC network is crucial. Summit meets those expectations by utilizing the most well regarded tier 1's in the business - Savvis and Level3
San Jose: Our SJC location sports AT&T, Level3, Verizon Business (MCI) and Savvis. Our SJC location is housed in the world class Equinix IBX datacenter
Dallas: Internap's intelligent routing technology allows for "on the fly" routing assessment and optimizations. Simply put, Internap's patented P-NAP Architecture constantly monitors internet conditions and applies routing tweaks to insure that packets follow the most direct and latency optimal path available.
Virginia: First considered to be a "secondary" location in the minds of competitive gamers, Ashburn has proven to be among the most popular. Operating out of the most heavily connected Equinix facility in the US, Ashburn offers excellent routing and latency to gamers up and down the Eastern seaboard.
Network Overview
Connectivity at all locations is provided by Cisco Catalyst series equipment. Tweaked for optimal speed, no cost has been spared insuring the best possible performance. In the event of regional network problems Summit engineers can route effected customers around the issue in just minutes. While customers of other providers continue to suffer, Summit clients will continue to frag - lag free. Our engineering team constantly works to ensure that our networks run as smoothly as possible.
